Old Mac System 7-9 fonts with the euro symbol

Old Mac System 7-9 fonts with the euro symbol

Back when there was no euro, i created this font patch earlier in 2021 and placed it on my forum. Here a copy for safe keeping:

NOTE: Before you change the system fonts please make a backup of the fonts or the full disk, since it might render the OS unbootable
a backup off all the classic fonts are here or in the system folder on the OG install diskette

---Now lets start by downloading the font files here.

now here: https://dmc.ams1.ppn.prutzel.com/?dir=post_attachments/old-apple-system-fonts

You will see 2 files in the Charcoal and Chicago folders. V1 is drawn by me and V2 is an opensource drawing by default. you may install the one you like better. below a comparison:

--——————Version one Chicago/Charcoal--------------------

--——————Version 2 Chicago/Charcoal--------------------

--——————Bonus font: TTY2000--------------------

NOTE: Geneva is not included because it would cause errors with finder in lower Os versions. and may cause the system unbootable that's why i added ttyfont for spreadsheets with valuta calculation

—Installation process—

Make sure to copy all the .bin files to your system and undpack them with stuffit expander

Then make sure you go to your system folder/fonts folder and open the suitcases. But first make a duplicate and save it somewhere safe.

After done correctly Charcoal should be 69K and Chicago should be 67K

repeat this for all the other fonts
and don't forget to change the symbol in the number settings. since it replaces the pound sign. want the pound sign back? copy over your backup suitcase or re-download them
